† Cinder was born the eldest to a family of five in the kingdom of Kairos. His parents raised the children with as much love as they were capable of showing. His mother, Vindication, held a notorious reputation for being callous. His father, Ransom, was no better. Ransom had been known for cruelty. Despite having almost no rank worthy of boasting about, Ransom was a proud stallion. Vindication was a power-driven mare and tried her best to encourage her children to follow suit. To never settle for less than what they deserved. Cinder felt the most pressure from both parents to succeed, and surpass them. He quickly came to realize how much both of them resented his gregarious nature.
† The Kairos were not known for their social finesse, something that caused Cinder to lose confidence in himself. Particularly on his mother's part. She had talked him up to be a suitable young stag to join the ranks of the Kairosian militia. Cinder had no desires to join their ranks, and spoke frankly with those his mother had met with. Denying any claims she made upon his behalf. Vindication retaliated by shunning and disowning her child. Ransom did not follow his mate's suit due to the fact that their child had been so frank with the high ranking members. Cinder had done so respectfully to them, so as not to make his family look bad. Cinder's relationship with his family began to deteriorate as he grew.
† With each child born after him, the rift between Cinder and his mother grew. Ransom soon became exhausted in dealing with his pride, and the wrath of his mate. He began to follow Vindication's actions towards Cinder. Each treating him more coldly than the years and months previous. Cinder resented them, and grew distrustful of others because of his parent's callousness. Cinder could feel the resentment for his kin building inside of him, each child taking more and more after his parents while he stood a proud, sturdy creature separate from them. He turned his eyes upon Asteria. A kingdom who would not shun his ways, and so he departed his family and the kingdom he had known his whole life. Disowning the whole lot, Cinder never looked back.

† Gregarious - Cinder's demeanor is very open and fluid in conversation. He tends to read the flow of crowds well, and presents himself based upon the situation he is faced with. Cinder is careful to listen when others are speaking, and is receptive to his own change from peers. He cares to see himself, as well as other grow
† Stoic - Due to his Kairosian upbringing, he carries some traits they had with him. Cinder is not one to speak much of himself, nor add things to conversation if he feels no need. He is seen as quiet, and even at times rude to others. Cinder favours studying and contemplating issues before pursuing them, if at all.
† Blunt - Cinder is known to be straight-forward with all he meets. Much of him heavily bases his worth, and the worth or rank of others upon how respectable they are. Though more social in nature than his Kairosian kin, he lacks the charisma of many he has come across. Cinder cares more to be understood than to make friends.
† Gentle - Cinder may come across as intimidating to many, though he tends to be quite gentle. It may take more time to coax this trait from the proud creature due to his distrust of others. He perpetually believes the world to be callous and unforgiving, and so takes care to hide his gentle nature and the pain it causes for him.
† Proud - Much like his father, Cinder is proud. He is confident in himself, and will demand only the best for himself, as well as his peers. He is not so proud that he would not put another more in need before him.
† Unforgiving - Cinder can be cruel in many forms, though his incapability to forgive others for past wrongs may be the worst. Cinder tends to shut those who have hurt or wronged him out. Giving them the could shoulder, or being the first to spit awful things towards them. He does not drag the names of those who have wronged him through mud.
† Private - Cinder is a very private individual. No matter the issue of pleasure or business he is unlikely to share his inner world with others. It is more likely for it to take others many years to even glimpse the inner shell that is Cinder.

To never settle for less than what they deserved. Relic was spoiled and doted on by both her parents and siblings. She was the embodiment to them of what ever Kairosian mare should be. Relic flourished beneath the attention she received.
† Relic had an insatiable hunger for knowledge, especially that of history. The obsessive way she approached the subjects had many around her taken aback, though she always brushed them off. As her parents wished, Relic wanted nothing more than to surpass her parents, and soar through the ranks of Kairos. Though she was one of the tallest children, she held little muscle. Relic trained as relentlessly as she studied the world around her. She succeeded in the art of strategy out of her siblings, having not known the eldest, Cinder. Relic was frequently told how proud she had made her parents, spurring on an insatiable path of greed for their child. Relic could never get enough.
† Her remaining siblings grew resentful of her. Jealousy ran rampant among the other children, and their parents did little to quell the rising storm. Relic approached the militia shortly after turning the age of three. She wished to take her eldest sibling's place as the honour and pride of her family. Relic did not care who she had to step on to get her way, and her ruthless desire for power seemed to inspire those around her. Relic grew more fierce in the presence of her superiors, though she was not granted the power she insatiably craved. It left her starved, and bitter toward Kairos, though not bitter enough to give up her path to greatness.
⊿ Persona:
† Determined - Relic will stop at nothing, and for no one to achieve her goals. She constantly pushes herself to be better, and constantly searches for someone to surpass. Obsessed with the idea of being the best and most powerful equine in Kairos rules her every waking moment.
† Selfish - Relic thrives in attention, and even craves it. She grows jealous of the achievements of others, especially if it diminishes her achievements. Relic wants only the best for herself, without concern of others. She is not fearful to burn bridges in order to get her way.
† Manipulative - Relic is often compared with her mother for her manipulative nature. When tactics of force do not work, she takes to buying and giving favours to others in order to get her way. Relic is not shy, and seems incapable of feeling shame or embarrassment for her actions. Relic is unconcerned with consequence, freeing her to go even further than promises.
† Lonely - Despite her outward demeanor, Relic is internally very lonely. She places all of her worth in her achievements, and suffers a huge blow when she does not meet her goals. Her loneliness is a major reason for her bitterness that she feels for being so frequently passed up for ranks of promise in Kairos. Relic is most susceptible to the overwhelming feelings when not in the limelight. She is plagued by many nights, recounting her failures and how she may have fixed them.
† Proud - Relic is not unalike her family. She too is proud, and uses her pride to boost her confidence. She is able to do many things due to this. All failures she will brush off before anyone, no matter how much they plague her internally. She is too proud to ask for help, and much of her failures are caused by her pride.
† Greedy- For Relic, nothing is ever enough. Settling is not an option, and if she can't have the best then nobody can. Relic will destroy, and sabotage anyone or anything that stands in her way. She is incapable of sharing, whether it is joy or her spoils. She cannot share the joy of another, it is clouded only by rage an jealousy.
† Secretive - Relic is very secretive. She will cover others for only for the sake of saving her own skin. She won't sink with others, but rather shed her attachments with them. She guards many dark conversations and agendas she hopes to accomplish from the world.
† Strategic - Relic excels in the art of strategy. Whether it is in combat or other games of war, Relic is one of the few who stand out. She takes great care, and meticulously works to carry out plans. Though she has more trouble following the strategies of others, she is more capable than most. So proud is Relic in these abilities that she craves for respect, and to be known for the power and strategy she has.
