What does your RP alias mean?

Befera has to be one of the coolest surnames ever. Just sayin'. How is it pronounced, though? I can never decide if it's BEFF-er-uh or be-FEAR-uh. Both are cool. XD

I used to be called Moony because werewolves, Lupin, a January birthday (under the Wolf Moon), and a propensity for sitting outside at like one in the morning and staring at the stars. As I got older, I decided that Remus no longer matched my personality and "Moony" was sorta young-sounding, if that makes any sense. But, I wanted to keep the wolf-like reason, so I looked for words that meant the same thing. Got stuck on canidae, the family name for all things canine, and added a Y because everything is better with a y. XD

That's a legit first name ;o;

As for mine.. I was trying to decide on a new name on a sim game called Furry-Paws and I love the breed of dog called a Benji but someone already had that name, so I added an o and it made Benjio. My creativity is endless.

So on here I have called myself Mariposa, which was formerly my sister's RP alias when she roleplayed horses. She hasn't for at least ten years, but she was the one who got me into roleplaying. For the first time this past year we have been living separated from one another by quite some distance (in my mind haha, to others it may seem small), which has been hard considering how close we are. Mariposa means butterfly.

However, on other sites and more commonly, I'm known as Aliyaah, or Ali. Aliyaah was from a combination of things - Aaliyah which is a name, and it means ascending. In addition, when I was 12 or so I found the name online of Alia, which meant little princess. I don't think I'm a little princess, but I AM fairly short in stature. I mixed the two to make Aliyaah. (:

So in which case... feel free to call me either Po (short for Mariposa), or Ali because that is what I've always been called - but I think that the latter was also the nickname that Alistair desired to use, so I'm good with anything! (:

I used "behind the name" because that is basically what I always use for names if I don't make them up. Muirgen was a mermaid(goddess?) that was baptized and became human, according to some stories. In other stories she's different, but I'm Irish and goddesses are awesome. So yeah.

I had a different handle before this, but I changed my name legally to that (since it was the name i was known as, online and off) and didn't want to go by a name officially on my documents and resume as an online handle, so now Cecil!
