Today he felt replenished. There was no voice behind his ear -- just a small, faceless shadow kept in chains, quieted for the day. It was easier some days opposed to others, but Colossus would not forget his mood and carried through the rocky Wastes with his head high, auburn locks flickering to and fro in his face. The change in him was apparent, no longer a walking ghost but a carefully replaced skeleton with muscle and bone. With ease, he slipped underneath the winds, noting how strangely calm they were today opposed to every other time he had traipsed the Crownless region. Intense green eyes peered from beneath his forelock, onto someone in the distance. Abel called above him, swooping forward toward them, keeping a close watch. Colossus did not miss a step, instead continued forth. He was confident there was no threat, aside from he, himself.
The red man pressed his lips outward, squinting under the sun to focus better, but to no avail. They stood with their rump to him, probably heading toward the Heights to get away from the low grumble that never seemed to die, even in its most calm state. He watched as Abel moved away from the figure, diving downward and landing perfectly on his withers. The crow chirped in a rather pleasant mannerism, and Colossus decided to continue on, now completely set on seeing the face of this other equine. By the way the others curves sloped, he guessed it was a woman; unmistakably, at that.
He circled around so he did not frighten the other by coming from behind, only to be taken back by what he saw. The woman was silver haired and her stature, though tall, was pleasing. She was not feeble and meek like so many others. Rather strong, prominent. Built from the elitists of her ancestory, and Colossus was immediately intrigued. He stopped only ten feet from her, confident that she would not scare easy. He could not read her face, too focused on collecting his words right. "What a strange place for you to be," he commented, venturing bravely past a comfort zone in his mind.
"You must be here for the sunset."
