Code of Conduct
001. I will respect those appointed over me and obey their orders to the best of my ability.
002. I will never surrender of my own free will. If I am in command, I will never surrender those below me if they are still capable of resisting.
003. If I am captured or taken as a prisoner of war, I will never give information that might be harmful to my comrades, my kingdom, or its allies.
004. I will always place the mission first.
005. I will never accept defeat, give up, or leave a fallen comrade.
006. I will never desert my post.
007. I will never put my kingdom at risk, even at the cost of my own life.

Laws and Regulations
201. A Kairosians is required to have a place in Kairosian society. Any citizen without an occupation or failing to fullfil his duty benefiting the kingdom can and will be cast out of Kairos.
202. Outsiders are to be viewed as a threat and detained at the king's leisure until proven otherwise. Foreign diplomats are to be given hospitality befitting their rank and stature.
203. Any horse wishing to join Kairos must undergo a series of tests, both physical and mental, at the discretion of the king or whomever he appoints.
204. All natural-born Kairosians shall submit to training no later than two years of age. The field in which each citizen is trained is based on the horse's desire, the will of his parents, and the needs of the military.
205. No Kairosian may intentionally harm the body or mind of another except in self-defence or during times of war.

Judiciary and Discipline
301. All Kairosian citizens shall be tried in a court of law in a timely manner when accused of any crime.
302. During times of peace, a magistrate appointed by the king will preside over a regular tribunal. In the case of particularly heinous crimes, a jury of the accused's chain of command and the Counsel must decide by a simple majority whether the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The magistrate will then sentence the convicted party. When a jury is not necessary, the magistrate will take on both duties. Sentencing may include a dock in pay, demotion, transfer of occupation, incarceration up to life, exile, execution, or a mix between any or all of the above.
303. During times of war or if the crime is directly related to the defense of the kingdom, the accused may be subjected to a court-martial. The magistrate will again be appointed by the king. These special courts do not require a jury nor a verdict of guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Sentencing may include a dock in pay, demotion, incarceration up to life, execution, or a mix between any or all of the above.
304. In the event of non-judicial action, the accused will stand trial in a simple hearing. The case will be heard by the defendant's commanding officer who acts as magistrate and jury. Sentencing may include a dock in pay, demotion, transfering of occupation, incarceration up to 45 days, or a mix of any or all of the above.
305. All Kairosian citizens have the right to appeal their conviction and sentencing. A special appellate magistrate, appointed by the king, may choose to oversee a retrial, and can overturn the verdict, or increase or decrease the sentencing.
