So this serves as an OOC request page and check-in for players of Asterian characters that definitely know they want some kind of special position or just a position in general. Noble and high-importance ranks won't just be handed out willy-nilly, but your requests will be taken into consideration and if your character is fit for the position, which will likely require IC interaction, they will likely receive it. When you post here, please include your character name, desired position, and why you think your character should have that position. There are also low-ranking but named positions available for your characters, such as servants, paladins, and priest(esse)s. If you don't have a specific idea, but WANT a position for your Asterian character, post here with their best traits and I'll look over their profile to see if I have any ideas. It's good to include how religious your character is because there are important religious positions that will only go to highly religious equine or really great actors. I have a couple different ideas!
I'd love to have Ness be one of Mesnyi's little harem, but I think she'd find it getting old really fast if she's just tagging along being pretty. She likes to have something to do, or at least some semblance of responsibility, so she'd need to have something else to go along with that, if that makes sense?? Like to keep her busy?
I think she'd make a good head priestess too but would be more comfortable as the General. She has experience w/ wartime, revenge, keeping a level head, and she'd love that it gives her some power for her own even under the rule of her queen (Ness is not necessarily a rebellious type but can be severely uncomfortable letting other people take the reins). Being in so much control of the army would make her suuuuper happy : )

Yeah I see what you're saying about the harem thing lol! She could definitely part-time there if you want haha, but if she gets a high-responsibility position like General or High Priestess she wouldnt be required to be an attendant based on Mesnyi's whim. I think Nessa would be great in a high-ranking job, but it's up to you whether you think she would be a better High Priestess or General. High Priestesses take part in the Council of Three, which doesn't meet as often as even the Council of Elders does. However, for the most part, they have control over their respective order (Zerua or Izar), although major decisions are subject to the Queen's approval. Head Priests are in charge of managing deity-specific or all-deity festivals and rituals. The General, like you kinda said already, basically has control of the whole army because Mesnyi is a dingbat and doesn't know what she's doing. Of course, major decisions are still subject to Mesnyi's approval, but that's kind of a given considering she's working under a monarch. Most heads of religion and the military have a lot of movement. Although, now that I think about it, it might make sense to have a "head" of the royal guard.... That might be a good position for Nessa, maybe, but her sole job would be watching over the royals, and basically nothing else because they're separate from the main military. What do you think? Nessa would be great in a lot of positions, so I think any of the above would be good for her, two of which you had suggested anyway lol! sabbyEDIT: If Nessa was in the Royal Guard, she could be assigned to Mesnyi specifically (although there arent any other royals yet) and therefore basically be at her side all the time. Once there are other royals to protect, however, it might not be best for an assigned guard to also be the lead guard (or whatever the position would be called) I don't know for what purpose you want Nessa in the harem but if it's to flaunt her beauty or be at Mesnyi's side, the above might apply idk, it's up to you! |

I know Cinder is definitely interested in the royal guard. He's got some combat experience, and is typically unafraid when faced with typical dangers. c:

Cinder I read his profile and he sounds good for the guard! sabby Sure thing! They could totally meet up in a thread after the herd meeting so they can get to know each other ovo ZEFORA tagging in case you didn't see this thread, but Zefora seems to have her own agenda and I saw her meeting post so if you don't feel the need to request anything OOC either, there's no need to reply to this!
